Capitol Pours P15M More in Tuburan
A total of P15 million worth of infrastructure projects that can also be used as evacuation sites got off the ground in Tuburan town on Tuesday, June 6 following the inauguration and turnover ceremony by Governor Hilario P. Davide III and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale.
The multi-purpose centers, which can also be utilized as shelters during calamities, are part of Davide’s countryside development program that offers necessary infrastructure to residents in rural areas.
Constructed at over P2 million each, the center can also be used as a trading post for farmers who wish to sell their products.
“Kami ni Vice Gov. ug ang akong mga kauban sa Kapitolyo way laing tinguha kun dili ang kalambuan sa matag Sugboanon. Kutob sa mahimo namo, na ningkamot kami nga among mahatagan og tinuoray ug sinsero nga sebisyo ang tanan,” Davide said.
The Capitol built the structures in barangays Amatugan, Kalangahan, Tominjao, Apalan, Gimama-a, Antipolo and Sto. Niño.
Joining the top Capitol officials in the inauguration ceremony were Tuburan town and barangay officials spearheaded by Mayor Democrito “Aljun” Diamante and Vice Mayor Danny Diamante.
“Kining maong edipisyo natukod pinaagi sa panag tinabangay. Busa magpasalamat ta ni Gov. Davide, Vice Gov. Magpale ug sa mga miyembro sa Provincial Board,” Diamante said.
Magpale, on the other hand, commended Diamante for working tirelessly to bring progress not only for one barangay but for the entire town.
“I and Gov. Davide are committed to support the efforts of your good mayor,” Magpale said.
The centers can also be used for public gatherings such as fiesta and graduation ceremony. (Kelvin Cañizares)
