Tetris is Made Into a Movie Trilogy
According to an Empire exclusive, the game we all became an addict, Tetris, will be made into a movie trilogy.
Who would think that a game based on giant bricks and pieces would be turned out into a movie trilogy?
“The story we conceived is so big,” filmmaker Larry Kasanoff told Empire of the prospective trilogy. “This isn’t us splitting the last one of our eight movies in two to wring blood out of the stone. It’s just a big story.”
Tetris, we’re sure you’re great, but you’re getting ahead of yourself. You are not “The Lord of The Rings.” Or “The Godfather.” And you’re definitely not “Star Wars.”
Maybe you could be the next “Matrix.” Maybe. (Seriously, how cool would it be if Agent Smith got squashed to smithereens by a Tetris block?!)
Odds are good that this is going to be more like “The Lego Movie,” which probably only has a sequel in the works because of this absurdly catchy jam.
