Mini Thailand Week Begins in Cebu

Mini Thailand week 2016 formally opened on June 16, 2016 at SM Trade hall, SM City NRA with the theme, “Explore our products today, business partners tomorrow.”

The opening formally started with both national anthems of the Philippines and Thailand which was sung by Filipinos and Thai people.

The ribbon cutting was graced by Jose Ng, Cebu Trade Advisor, Melanie Ng, President of Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Rachakorn Saksri, Director of Thai Trade Center, Manila.

After the ribbon cutting, guests and people roamed around 41 booths, each with different to offer for the people. There were booths who offer textile and clothing, others offered perfumes and oils, dish washing liquids and soaps, food, and jewelry.

“The main purpose of this event is to promote Thai products through Filipino tourists. Thai investors are interested to invest in the Philippines.” Rachakorn Saksri said.
