Rama Grateful to CCPO for Peaceful Election
Mayor Mike Rama expressed his gratitude to all police officers for having maintained the peacefulness and orderliness of the recently concluded national and local elections.
The re-elected mayor, who will be starting his second term in office this coming June 30, thank them during the command conference of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) attended by different station commanders on Monday from his leave.
CCPO will be deploying uniformed policemen in all private and public schools around the city, as they are also being instructed by the mayor to increase their visibility before and during the opening of classes next week.
“I also want to follow-up on the crimes committed here to address it quickly so as not to delay justice,” mayor Rama said as he reminded CCPO officer-in-charge Mariano Natuel to close the case on the deaths of two policemen in Guadalupe, as well as the recent tragedy involving a City Hall employee and barangay Mabini captain last week.
Cash assistance will be extended to the family as well as burial expenses of the late Rohamma Luage and barangay captain Rey Oybenes since they are both constituents of the city of Cebu.
“I need to be convinced. I want the history, background and if there are other people involved. I want conclusions, not speculations,” Rama added. (with Press Release, Cebu City PIO)
