“I am happy that you visited our place and rendered free services, this is a great program of Mayor Mike Rama,” thus said Lola Rosita Dominisac, 67, one of the thousands of residents of Barangay Mabolo who availed of the free services during the “City Hall at Your Doorstep” held Friday morning April 8, 2016 in Sitio Holy Name in the said barangay.

The People’s Mayor together with Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella, Councilor Noel Eleuterio Wenceslao, former Councilor Edwin Jagmoc and some councilors and village workers of Mabolo graced today’s frontline services.

In his message, Mayor Rama thanked all those who supported the “City Hall at Your Doorstep” and reminded that everyone that it is his aim to make the basic services of the government accessible to all Cebuanos right at their doorstep.

Meanwhile, thousands of Mabolohanons also availed the various basic services from the 22 departments of the city government which served as a one-stop shop with avail-all-services-you-can system on a first-come, first served basis.

Aamong the services rendered were medical and dental consultations with free medicines, random blood sugar testing, blood typing, feeding for children, Cedula issuance and anti-rabies vaccination for dogs and cats.

Other services offered were the repair and installation of street lights and artesian wells, consultation on traffic issues and concerns, consultations on the ‘Let there be Light Program’ and urban poor related issues, free hair cutting, job placement referral, pruning and trimming of trees, consultation on drug related issues, fire prevention orientation, and vaccinations for pneumonia prevention, among several others.

Furthermore, the all-out support of everyone wrapped-up the great success of the activity which ended around 12 noon until everyone were served. (Cebu City Public Information Office PIO/Greggy Jiggs P. Senados)
