YMA Season 10 Covenant Signing
May we invite you to the covenant signing by the newly-accepted Young Minds Academy (YMA) Season 10 scholars this Saturday, April 9, 2016, 1 p.m. to 3:25 p.m.? It will be held at the Plenary Hall of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc.-Eduardo Aboitiz Development Studies Center (RAFIEADSC) building at 35 Lopez Jaena St., Cebu City, right across the Casa Gorordo Museum.
Roberto “Bobby” Aboitiz, RAFI president, will give the inspirational message.
The covenant signing will jumpstart the eight-month leadership and citizenship training program for youth ages 12 to 20. They will attend learning sessions conducted during the summer, weekends and holidays.
Since its inception in 2006, YMA has trained close to a thousand young leaders who graduated with enhanced competence, strengthened character, and more active citizenship engagement. The graduates underwent learning sessions, community exposures, and project development anchored on an annual theme. For YMA Season 10, the theme is “urban development” with emphasis on ‘livability’.
The Young Minds Academy is a RAFI-EADSC program under the Leadership & Citizenship focus area, which aims to build future leaders and influencers in a community that is ready to effect change.
