92 Capitol Employees Take Oath Of Office
From January to March 2016, 92 newly appointed and promoted Capitol employees took their oath of office before Governor Hilario P. Davide III at the Cebu Provincial Capitol.
Sixty four of these employees took oath last Mar. 21 while the remaining 28 pledged to their new responsibilities last Feb. 22.
Since 2013, a total of 254 employees were promoted to permanent positions.
Promotions are based on the required “very satisfactory” rating for one assessment period. Also, the promoted employees underwent the recruitment process and competed with both external and internal applicants before they were recommended by the Provincial Personnel Selection Board to the governor for their official appointments.
“I take the new position as a challenge and I’m very thankful that my accomplishments were acknowledged,” said Lilia M. Villasin, now a supervising administrative officer.
In his speech, Davide stated that the appointment entails a bigger responsibility and he expected everyone to help in the Kalambuan sa Matag Sugbuanon.
“Thank you for your hard work and congratulations,” he added.
For his part, Bonifer B. Nacorda, head of the Human Resource Department, reminded the employees that they should be public servants with a heart.
“Live by Cebu Province’s core values of honesty, work ethics, accountability, social responsibility, and transparency. It is a commitment expected of a public servant,” he added.
After the oathtaking ceremonies, the newly appointed personnel went to the Human Resource Management Office for the compliance of their requirements as mandated by the Civil Service Commission.
Present also during the ceremonies were Provincial Administrator Atty. Mark C. Tolentino and some of the Capitol department heads.
