Pasilnons Enjoy Free Services
“I am very thankful to Mayor Michael Rama for having this program as it is of great help to the people specially the less fortunate,” shared Leah Humamoy, 34, who brought her 2 daughters and availed of the medical consultation.
Leah was among the thousands of residents of Barangay Pasil who flocked to their Sports Complex for the “City Hall at your Doorstep” held this Thursday morning March 10 to avail the various services from the 22 department of the city government here.
The beneficiaries availed the various basic services from the 22 departments of the city government which served as a one-stop shop with avail-all-services-you-can system on a first-come, first served basis.
In his welcome message, Pasil village chief Julius Guioguio also thanked Mayor Rama for pouring programs and programs in their barangay. He also thanked everyone who supported the activity.
Barangay Pasil recently received P10 Million financial assistance from the city government here intended for various programs and projects for Pasilnons.
The barangay has 9,522 residents living in at least 9 Sitios. It is situated in the city’s South District and about 3 kilometers or 10 to 15 minutes (taking a public utility jeepney) away from the Cebu City Hall.
Furthermore, the “City Hall at Your Doorstep” is an initiative of Mayor Rama launched in the year 2010 and already institutionalized. It is conducted in line with the commitment of the Rama administration to bring the city government services closer to the people sans going to the different offices in Cebu City Hall.
