Aurelio said the tail-end of a cold front is now affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas while northeast monsoon prevails in Northern and Central Luzon.
For Thursday forecast, cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over the regions of Bicol and Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Quezon, Romblon and Marinduque while cloudy skies with light rains is expected over the regions of Cagayan Valley, Ilocos, Cordillera and Central Luzon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The state-run weather bureau issued a gale warning due to the strong to gale force winds associated with the northeast monsoon as the sea condition would be rough to very rough in the eastern seaboard Central and Southern Luzon.
“Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are alerted against rough to very rough seas,” it warned.
It added moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
