President Aquino To Inspect Government Projects In Bohol
President Benigno S. Aquino III is set to arrive in Bohol today to inspect the progress of the construction of the New Bohol Airport Construction and Sustainable Environment Protection Project or the Panglao Airport.
The President will lead the time capsule-laying ceremony and will be updated on the ongoing government projects implemented in the area.
He would also witness the ceremonial switching on of the 2,651 LED lights representing the sitios in Region 7 covered by the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) of the National Electrification Administration (NEA).
The President, along with government officials in Bohol, would be briefed on the Panglao Airport by the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) Secretary Emilio Abaya and the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) by Energy Undersecretary Zenaida Monsada.
Upon the President’s arrival at the Tagbilaran Airport he would be welcomed by Lt. General Nicanor Vivar, Central Command Visayas Commander, and PCInspector Manuel Gaerlan, Regional Director of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Region 7.
President Aquino is set to meet the beneficiaries of government projects, who will share their testimonials; the Chiyoda-Mitsubishi JV officials; and the Region 7 electric cooperative officers.
This would be the President’s sixth visit in the province after the 15 October 2013 earthquake. (PND/PIA-7/Bohol)
