The recipient of the four-storey, twelve classroom building is the Madridejos National High School (MNHS).

The principal of Madridejos NHS, Mr. Melville D. Dela Peña, was very grateful for the new edifice that willhouse 660 students out of the 2,000 school population.

Before the new building’s construction, classes were jam-packed with about 60-65 students per classroom.

“Dako gyud akong pasalamat nga kami ang nakakuha sa building nga pinakadako, pinakataas ug pinakadaghan og classrooms sa tibuok Cebu province…” Dela Peña added.

Madridejos Mayor Salvador DelaFuente also thanked the benefactors of the project.

Moreover, another school building at the Municipality of Sta. Fe was also inaugurated.

The Marikaban Integrated School is one out of the six recipients of a two-storey, six classroom school building.

The project costs P8.8 million and was built from July to October 2015.

It will accommodate 300 students, 50 per classroom out of the 700 school population.

Like MNHS, overcrowded classrooms were also the main problem of the school before.

“Sauna, kinahanglan pa mi mogamit sa elementary classrooms aron maluag luag ang mga klase. Maong dako kaayo akong pasalamat sa RAFI ug kay Gov. Excited na kaayo mi mo-occupy,” Principal Marjorie Diñoso disclosed.

In his speech, RAFI-EDU Executive Director Mr. Ernesto Alix expressed his thanks to the Cebu Provincial Government for the continued support to RAFI.

“It is always a privilege to share what we have with the students and with the Cebu Province. So, thank you…” Alix added.
