Zamboanga Police Unit Has New Commander

Supt. Angelito Casimiro, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, on Thursday advised the new chief of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company (ZCPSC) to stay focused on his tasks.

Casimiro issued the advice as he presided over the turnover of command where he installed Supt. Areston Limos as the new chief of the ZCPSC.

“Do not be carried away by someone else criticisms and feel depressed,” Casimiro told Limos during the ceremony.

Casimiro said that criticisms “are just a drop in the bucket” citing there are a lot of good policemen than the bad ones.

“It is easier to criticize but difficult to improve,” he added.

He urged the officers and personnel of the ZCPSC to extend the same support to their new chief the way they did to their previous commander.

Limos, the former ZCPO operations chief, has replaced Supt. Ariel Huesca, who has served as the ZCPSC chief for one year, 10 months and one day.

Huesca has been named as the new ZCPO operations chief.

Huesca said he is grateful to the officers and men for the support they extended to him during his stint as the ZCPSC chief that led to the accomplishment of their tasks.

Limos considers his new assignment as a challenge to his career as a police officer.

Limos said he will continue the good programs of his predecessor and would introduce new innovations whenever needed.
