CBTL: The Heart For Christmas

Give flavorfully this Christmas and prepare for the New Years with Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as they release their newest edition of The Giving Journal.

On October 24, 2015, customers who joined and won the online challenge had a sneak peek into the 2016 Giving Journal at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s lower terraces branch Ayala Cebu Center while at the same time learn about their history and mission behind their Journal. There was also a mini-calligraphy workshop with Earl Tawny Hisoler at the end of the session.

The Giving Journal started in 2011 as a way to exemplify this season’s value: charity. Charity, in a sense, that promotes the progress of a community. It has partnered with Real LIFE foundation as the journal’s beneficiary. Real LIFE foundation aims to lift families out of poverty by sponsoring a child’s education through college. In the span of 4 years, CBTL has sponsored 38 university scholars and of which 13 have already graduated.

The Giving Journal comes in four fun colors: Orange, Baby Blue, Violet and Brown. In order to avail of one Giving Journal, a coupon -within which there are 12 circles that correspond to a drink- is given to the customer. The holder must buy 8 drinks of their choice, 1 original ice blended drink, 1 tea latte, 1 holiday featured beverage, 1 coffee/espresso-based beverage, totaling 12 drinks. The coupon must be present upon payment in order for the bartender to place a stamp on it. This promo will end on January 10, 2015.

To make the promo satisfying, CBTL have concocted two new flavors to add to the season’s cheer. The two new flavors are the Winter Dream Tea and the Toffee Nut flavor. The Winter Dream Tea is a perfect blend of rooibos and black with sweet spices and hints of vanilla. The Toffee Nut flavor is a drink sweet-toothed customers will adore -a blend of buttery caramelized sugar with a hint of nut, paired with the richness of espresso and a sprinkle of toffee bits. These drinks are Christmas in a cup.
