QC Mayor Expects Proclamation anytime Today

Published

on

Incumbent Mayor Herbert Bautista and his running mate Joy Belmonte are now expecting to be proclaimed as mayor and vice-mayor of Quezon City.

Four percent of the remaining voting results were left to be transmitted. Bautista and Belmonte are expected to win in an earthfall.

Incumbent mayor Bautista is leading with a wide frame against his two rivals in the mayoralty race.
Polling precincts were troubled by Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machine breakdowns on Election Day that caused the delay in canvassing in the city with the largest voting population of 1,083, 912. But out of 216 PCOS machines used, 12 of them suffered malfunction that completely failed to work in Quezon City.

The local board of canvassers had released partial official election results as of 5:45 am today for at least 50 percent before it called a recess. It resumed early 11 am.
