Cebu Exporters Attend PECP Info Session

More than 50 exporters and representatives from concerned government agencies in Cebu attended an information session on the exporting business held by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here.

The one-day session is in line with a seminar series that intends to address the current issues and concerns identified by exporters and also promote exporting business under the Philippine Export Competitiveness Program (PECP).

DTI Cebu brought in speakers from Export Marketing Bureau (EMB), Bureau of Customs (BoC) Bureau of International Trade Relations (BITR), and Inter Commerce Network Services.

The topics tackled were: Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) Services, how to do business in free trade areas, introduction to the Philippine ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA), electronic certificate of Origin Implementation Guidelines, overview of the self-Certificate Scheme, and the Philippine accreditation process for “Certified Exporters.” (rmn/PIA7-Cebu)
