Sunny to Partly Cloudy Skies in Most Parts of PHL Except in Northern Luzon

Manila (PNA) — Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains will be expected over the western section of Northern Luzon on Wednesday due to the presence of southwest monsoon or “hanging habagat” affecting these areas, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The southwest monsoon, which is associated with the occurrence of intermittent to continuous rains, is the prevailing wind system during the rainy season.

In its Wednesday forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Ilocos region while the rest of the country including Metro Manila will have sunny to partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms.

It added moderate to strong winds blowing from the southeast to southwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast to southwest with slight to moderate seas

The state weather bureau has not issued gale warning as the fisherfolks are now safe to venture into the seas. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
