The race to the top is on. After a strong start to the year, Saucony athlete and multi-awarded pro Tim Reed makes his way to Cebu to headline the much-awaited 2015 Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines. The Australian pro, who was crowned as the first Century Tuna Ironman 70.3 Subic Bay champion last March, is expected to make a strong case to defend his title in the upcoming race on August 2, 2015.
Known to be the biggest triathlon in the country, Cobra Ironman 70.3 will be hosting over 2,500 participants from all over the world. The annual race marks its sixth year with its most distinguished line-up of pro athletes yet including Reed, Craig “Crowie” Alexander, Brent McMahon, Caroline Steffen, Luke McKenzie and many more.
Highlighting their commitment to the sport and empowering athletes, global running brand Saucony will be showcasing their award-winning performance footwear at the Cobra Ironman 70.3. Represented by defending champion Tim Reed, Philippine National Triathlon Team’s John Chicano, and local celebrity triathlete Victor Basa, Saucony unleashes their best racing shoes just in time for the prestigious destination triathlon. Race day favorite Type A6 is favored by elite athletes for its exceptional comfort and lightweight support.
