San Juan to Ink Sister-City Agreement with Cebu
(Cebu City PIO) — Officials and heads of the different departments from San Juan City in Metro Manila led by Mayor Guia Gomez are now in the Queen City of the Philippines.
The group wanted to learn the city’s best practices and formalize a sister-city pact between San Juan City and Cebu City.
Earlier this Wednesday morning July 22, 2015, the 88-person delegation were welcomed by some Cebu City officials in the Mactan Cebu International Airport.
The group then went to Cebu City Hall for a Courtesy Call to Mayor Michael Rama at the Mayor’s VIP Lounge, 8th Floor of the city’s Executive Building.
Right after the Courtesy Call, Mayor Rama also conducted a lecture on Parliamentary Procedure to the visitors held at the city’s Social Hall.
The formal signing of the sister-city agreement of both cities which is slated tonight at Radisson Blu Hotel will highlight the visit.
In their four-day study tour and planning session the delegation will be acquainted with the city’s best practices in terms of disaster resiliency, environmental protection, and the delivery of basic services, among others. (Cebu City Public Information Office PIO)
