Jollibee Relives “I Love You Sabado”

Published

With their rewritten and newly arranged 1987 jingle, “I love you, Sabado!” Jollibee is advocating families to bond even more as the company planned to make the first weekend of July as the “National Family Bonding Weekend.” Jollibee, a long-running family-friendly fast food-chain giant, promoted the joy of family as they kick-started the “I love you Sabado” campaign by having 6 of their stores host various events nationwide. The six branches included New Las Pinas, E. Rodriguez, San Pablo Plaza, Parkmall (Mandaue), Iba (Zambales), and Talomo (Davao).

During their first launching of this advocacy, langhap-sarap meals, games and other fun activities were in store for everyone who decided to drop by. Yumbassadors Kiefer Ravena, Arnold Van Opstal and Alyssa Valdez joined in the fun at the New Las Pinas branch while Bamboo performed at the E. Rodriguez one.

Up and coming star, Emmanuelle Vera was positioned at Talomo, Davao. JK Labako, Lyca Gairanod, and Darlene Vibares, the Voice Kids grand finalist and Jollibee Kids Club endorsers, were stationed at Iba, Zambales, San Pablo Plaza and Parkmall, Mandaue respectively. The TVK kids each gave a rendition of “I love you Sabado.”

In this age of hustle and bustle, the Filipino culture of family-bonding can sometimes be strained. With this campaign, Jollibee hoped to bridge families and bring back the joy of being together.
