Support the Best of Bomba Press Vinyl LP

Cebu-based independent label Bomba Press has just launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for the production of The Best of Bomba Press Vinyl LP, a record set to contain a collection of some of the finest tracks from Bomba Press’ five years of existence – highlighting some of the freshest local acts from Cebu City and the rest of the south including Honeydrop, Loop, Bombo Pluto Ova, and Tiger Pussy.

The project aims to showcase the diverse talents in the local music circuit of Cebu City, raising their collector’s value by putting their music out in a whole different format. Unfortunately, though there’s been a resurgence of vinyl in recent times, the medium is still not as accessible in Cebu and costs considerably more to produce than other more common formats. The label hopes to cover the difference through crowfunding and in the long run, revenue generated by the record’s sales will be used to create a more sustainable production line for future releases.

As a token of appreciation, various perks are being offered to pledgers – including free download codes, free CDs and various merchandise, and free copies of the LP with your name printed on the credits.

The campaign officially started on July 6th (Philippine time) and is set to end after 45 days.
