Cebu Capitol Allots P28M for Productivity Bonus

The Cebu provincial government allocated P28 million for the productivity enhancement incentive (PEI) of its employees and officials.

More than 1,500 regular and casual employees are expected to receive the incentive.

Cebu Provincial Budget Officer Danilo Rodas said the amount would be approved by the Cebu Provincial Board in a supplemental budget.

The distribution of PEIs to employees and officials is in accordance with Executive Order 181 that President Benigno C. Aquino III signed last May 15.

The PEI for 2015 is equivalent to either Php 5,000 or one month’s basic salary of employees as of May 31, 2015.

Rodas said the PEI would be equal to the employee’s one month salary, provided that a local government unit had met the requirements of the Department of Interior and Local Government’s seal of good local governance.

He said the province was a recipient of the seal of good governance in 2014.
