Except in eastern of Mindanao most parts of the country will continue to experience generally fair weather Thursday, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In an interview, PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said that the weak Northeast Monsoon continues to be the dominant weather system affecting Extreme Northern Luzon.

Aurelio said a cloud cluster will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over the provinces of Surigao Del Sur, Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley. He added the cloud cluster has slim chance to develop into a low pressure area (LPA).

Aurelio said the rest of the country including Metro Manila will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

In its advisory, PAGASA said light to moderate winds coming from the northeast to east will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and from the northeast over the rest of the country.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate with no gale warning issued. (PNA) LAM/CLTC
