Honda Recalls Select Cars from 2004-2005

Published

on

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has announced a voluntary safety recall of selected Honda Civic car models from 2003 and 2004 due to unusual/irregular deployment of the front passenger airbags/supplemental restraint systems.

The recall campaign, which is triggered by an incident in Japan, involves the replacement of the inflators of front passenger airbags of the said vehicles free of charge. However it is important to note that there has been no known or reported case of any unusual front passenger airbag deployment and/or injury caused by such in the Philippines.

The company has identified 631 Civic vehicles affected by this recall.

For more information, you may read HCPI Administration Division Head Noel M. Barachina’s letter regarding the campaign or visit HCPI’s website. You may also inquire with any of the authorized Honda dealerships or with HCPI through (02) 857-7240.
