Travel Blogger Shares 20 Photos of the PHL That Will “Make You Pack Your Bags and Go”
Manila (PNA) – German-Italian travel blogger Sabrina Lovino has travelled to over 50 countries around the globe yet takes pride in calling her “favorite country” the Philippines and sums up the reasons why in 20 photos.
In her blog Just One Way Ticket, Lovino mentioned how she went through over 50,000 images she took from her trips to the Philippines and decided to select 20 of them that best showcase the beauty of the country to convince fellow wanderlusts to visit the country in time for Visit the Philippines 2015.
“For 2015 I want you all to pack your bags and book a flight! Even the Pope is going to visit the Philippines… So what are you waiting for?” Lovino wrote.
On top of her list on why the Philippines should be visited is a photo of the Bounty Beach in Malapascua, Cebu which she then captioned with “perfect beaches.”
“The beaches are without a doubt one of the most convincing reasons why you should visit the Philippines in 2015,” she wrote.
“With a coastline of more than 36,000 km you can expect some of the most beautiful and picturesque beaches in the world,” she said.
Also on her list of reasons to visit the Philippines are as follows:
*Colorful festivals (where she shared a photo of a Sinulog festival dancer)
*The beauty of Palawan
*The rice terraces of Banaue
*The hanging coffins in Sagada
*Snorkeling with the giant sea turtles in Apo Island
*Colorful sunsets (where she posted a photo of a Boracay sunset)
*Chocolate hills, tarsiers in Bohol
*Kayangan Lake in Coron
*Mayon Volcano in Legazpi
*7,107 islands across the country (where she shared a bird’s eye view of the Philippine islands taken on a plane)
*Smokey Mountain, the slums of Manila (where she said touring the slums was a “moving” experience)
*Swim in a waterfall (where she posted a photo of Cambugahay Falls in Siquijor)
*Get close to the whale sharks (where she shared a photo taken at Oslob, Cebu)
*Go surfing (where she shared a photo of a surger in Siargao)
*Stay beachfront for less than 10 dollars per night (where she posted a photo of a Siquijor beachfront)
*Don’t miss Boracay
*Fresh, fresher sea food (where she posted a photo of a fresh lobster)
*People of the Philippines
By the end of her article, she praised Filipinos for being able to easily “turn strangers into friends”, even describing them as “the friendliest people” she has came across.
She also noted that it was the Filipinos’ optimism and cheerfulness which make up the reasons why she “fell completely in love with Philippines.”
“The Philippines is a melting pot with countless things to do. A lifetime won’t be enough to discover everything this country has to offer. Don’t miss out the fun because yes it is more fun in the Philippines!” Lovino further wrote.
“See you in the Philippines in 2015 – Be prepared to fall in love,” she added.
