Showcase Your Baking Skills at Bakery Fair 2015’s Bakers Cup from January 20-23
Are you a baker, a professional chef or working in the food or baking industry? Meet like-minded individuals and showcase your skills at the Bakery Fair 2015’s Bakers Cup competition happening from January 20-23 at the FCBAI Baking Center, 1967 Rizal Avenue, Santa Cruz, Manila.
The annual Bakers Cup will feature a competition among chefs and bakers to be awarded the ultimate champion, win cash prizes, and get the chance to compete internationally!
This year, the competition features two main categories, namely the Angel Yeast Steamed Bun Competition and the Puratos Bake-Off. These two categories will test bakers’ creativity, efficiency, and wit for making delicious and quality-made breads, steamed buns, cakes, and chocolate showpieces.
If you are interested, then register and sign up at bakerscup.org before 2 pm of January 15, Thursday to reserve your slot in the competition. An orientation for the participants will happen on the 17th of January from 10 am to 5 pm. Eliminations for the S500 Bread Baking Battle will be on January 20 from 9 am to 4 pm while the Carat Chocolate Showpiece Challenge will happen on the 21st at 8 am to 4 pm. The Angel Yeast Steamed Bun eliminations will be held on the 22nd at 7 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm, while the Carat Chocolate Decoration Challenge will be on the 23rd at 1 pm to 4 pm. Finals for all categories will happen from January 30 to February 1 at the Bakery Fair trade show.
Bakery Fair 2015
The Bakers Cup is one of the activities scheduled as part of the upcoming Bakery Fair 2015 at the World Trade Center. Being the biggest baking and foodservice trade show in the PH, the Bakery Fair is where great deals in raw materials and supplies are abundant, numerous seminars and food demonstrations by experts in the field will happen, and where one can catch the finals of the Bakers Cup!
“This Bakery Fair showcases the remarkable talent of Filipino bakers and highlights the Asian love of quality bread. We seek to show the world that the Filipino baking industry is taking off,” said Winston Uy, President of the Filipino-Chinese Bakery Association, Inc.
Pre-register now at the Bakery Fair website (bakeryfair.org) on or before January 24, and enter the Bakery Fair for free! Print and bring the ticket you will receive through your email to the Bakery Fair registration booth to confirm your entry. The Php 100 fee will be subjected starting January 25 for online and on-site registration.
The Bakery Fair 2015 will be on January 30 to February 1 at the World Trade Center, Gil Puyat Avenue Extension corner Diosdado Macapagal Blvd., Pasay City.
