Christmas Break to Start After Dec. 19; Classes Resume Jan. 5 – DepEd

The Department of Education (DepEd) said elementary and high school students may start their Christmas break after Friday, December 19, until January 5, the first Monday of 2015, report said.

This came as a reminder from the Department with just nine days to go before Christmas.

Under the school calendar, the last day of classes for 2014 will be on Dec. 19, while the first day of classes in 2015 will be on Jan. 5.

In DepEd Order No. 18, Education Secretary Armin Luistro had indicated School Year 2014-2015 would start June 2 and will end March 27, noting that the school year will have 201 days.
