Filipino farm Manager, Niel Molina, was awarded Best Farm Manager of the Year during the Dairy Industry Awards last April 6, 2013.

These awards given to Molina are a part of an annual search for farmers across New Zealand and at different levels of the dairy industry that excel.

Molina was employed by Greg and Kelly Kirkwood. This couple has already employed 13 Filipinos to take care of 2,300 cattles. And as a responsible and competent farm manager, Molina helped in maximizing the operations and upgraded the farm efficiency.

Molina says that he is blessed to have very good and wonderful farm owners as well as dedicated and motivated farm workers. Together they  strive to make the farm as highly productive and efficient as possible. He dedicates the award to them.

Molina formerly managed the Batangas Dairy Cooperative. This was also featured in the cover of the Guide for Migrant Dairy Farm Workers produced by Immigration New Zealand last year.

Virginia H. Benavidez, Philippine Ambassador to New Zealand, congratulated Molina, saying that he is an inspiration for the many Filipinos that are working in the dairy industry in New Zealand.

Molina also received AgITO Human Resources Management Award.
