PAGASA: TS Hagupit Still Too Far to Affect PHL
State weather agency is still monitoring TS Hagupit, saying it is still too far away to affect the country.
PAGASA said the storm is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday and might make landfall in the eastern Philippines by Sunday.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said rain may fall over parts of Northern and Central Luzon Wednesday.
In its 5 pm bulletin Tuesday, PAGASA said the Northeast Monsoon is affecting Northern and Central Luzon.
It added that Cagayan Valley and Cordillera will have cloudy skies with light rain while Central Luzon and Ilocos region may expect partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rain.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, it added.
Moderate to strong winds from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas, PAGASA said.
The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
For the rest of the country, it said winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to north with slight to moderate seas.
