According to PNP, ‘Dura Boys’ usually attack in public transportation terminals, jeepneys, and buses.

The group usually come in three wherein the first member informs the victim that he/she has a spit on his/her sleeve and back.

Meanwhile, the ‘Besfren Gang’ usually loiter in bargain malls and open-air markets.

The PNP said that this group usually targets shoppers who check out items sold in stalls such as watches, jewelry, mobile phone, and other electronic gadgets.

One the members of the group will stand next to the victim and borrows the item being checked, pretending to be the victim’s friend. The victims will quickly flee the stall premises with the stolen item.
