Make Your Own Hair Removal Wax At Home

Published

on

While shaving off body hair seems like a convenient option, women still prefer waxing as an effective hair removal technique. This is because shaving causes the hair to grow back quickly while waxing assures you smooth hairless skin for a good month or two.

But don’t rush to take that waxing appointment. You can make your own hair removal wax at home too. This hair removal wax recipe is not only cost effective and simple; by using naturally made wax you can avoid the chemicals present in commercial hot wax packs.

Follow these simple instructions to make you own homemade hair removal wax.

You will need:

  • One cup granulated sugar
  • One cup honey
  • ½ cup of lemon juice
  • Saucepan

Directions:

  1. Put the sugar in the saucepan and add the honey to it in such a way that it covers the sugar.
  2. Heat the saucepan on a medium flame and stir it occasionally, till the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Add the lemon juice to the mixture and stir it continuously till it forms a wax-like texture.
  4. The whole process will take about 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. When the mixture acquires the right consistency, allow it to cool to a temperature that won’t burn your skin.
  6. You can now use this wax with some waxing strips to remove body hair.

Benefits of using homemade hair removal wax

  • Since the wax is made of natural ingredients, it is unlikely that you will develop a rash or infection.
  • Natural ingredients will not only remove the hair but will also moisturize your skin.
  • It will also leave your skin soft and smooth.
  • The lemon juice in the mixture helps reduce coarse hair growth.
