More Cebu Grads Top LET Exam

Not only two, but there are four graduates of education course from three of Cebu’s public and private schools had topped in the recent Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) conducted by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers last month.

They are part of the 25,533 successful examinees who passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers for elementary and secondary teachers given last March 10, 2013 in 14 testing centers all over the country and in Hongkong.

There were 75,550 who took the test, 37,117 for elementary teachers and only 10,310 have passed, while there were also 38,433 examinees who took the LET for secondary teachers and 14,223 of them got the passing grades.

Jestoni L. Potot of the University of Cebu (Mandaue-Lapulapu campus) placed fourth while Junnalie L. Brago of Talisay City College also landed on the tenth place for the elementary level, and Sheila Mae M. Diano of Cebu Normal University landed in the seventh place while Angielo Pahamutang of Talisay City College placed himself on the tenth place for the secondary level.

The PRC officials said the results of examination with respect to 33 examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.

UC President Agusto W. Go said he will give a reward to Potot for giving pride to the school.

The dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later, the PRC officials said. –
