Megaworld, WWF-Philippines Plant 5,000 Mangrove Trees in Mactan

As part of its commitment in developing sustainable townships, Megaworld, the country’s leading real estate developer, and the World Wide Fund for Nature-Philippines (WWF-Philippines), lead an environmental initiative dubbed “Building Visions for a Better World: Saving the Mangroves in Mactan,” where around 150 volunteers mostly Megaworld employees, BPO partners, local media and bloggers as well as local residents planted 5,000 nursed mangrove seedlings at the coastal area of Brgy. Kalawisan, Lapu-Lapu City. This is part of the property giant’s effort to support the local government’s drive to save the mangrove forests around Mactan Island under the leadership of Mayor Paz Radaza.
