Sony Unveils Xperia T3, ‘World’s Slimmest’ Smartphone
Sony has launched the Xperia T3, a 5.3-inch mid-range smartphone which the company claims to be the world’s slimmest in its category.
Measuring 7mm thin and weighing 148 grams, the Xperia T3 is indeed light and thin for such a large phone. It is wrapped in a stainless steel frame and equipped with Triluminous HD display powered by BRAVIA Engine 2.
Under the hood, there’s a quad-core 1.4GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, and a 2500mAh non-removable battery.
It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a Sony Exmor RS sensor. It also has a 1.1MP front-facing camera.
It will run on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS and will be available in three color options including Black, Purple and White.
Sony Xperia T3 will launch globally at the end of July 2014. There’s no word yet on the price.
