Thousands of Kids Finished Kiddie Crew Workshop
Thousands of kids all over the country graduated last May 25 from McDonald’s annual Kiddie Crew Workshop.
The series of grand graduation ceremonies took place in key cities such as Cebu, Laguna, Pampanga, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Metro Manila.
Here in Cebu, the grand graduation was held in J.Centre Mall, Mandaue City with Ms. Jackie Lou Blanco as the host.
The celebration started with booth activities like face painting, toy bazaars and others for the kids and the whole family to enjoy. As the program ended, Ronald McDonald, the Chief Happiness Officer, officiated the oath-taking ceremony of the Kiddie crew graduates.
After their pledge, the high spirited “Certified Kiddie Crew” tossed their caps and sang the traditional Kiddie Crew Anthem.
The Hero Within
The grand graduation theme also celebrated the hero within the Kiddie Crew members as this year’s workshop introduces a new value formation topic– Sharing.
The kids, through their parents or guardians, were encouraged to share their blessings by contributing spare change to their Kiddie Crew Coin Bank where its proceeds will be used to help build “Bahay Bulilit” for kids in Tacloban and Bohol.
McDonald’s Bahay Bulilit is a flagship program under McDonald’s charity of choice. Ronald McDonald House Charity serves as a day care center for less fortunate kids where they get to play with other children. This program is in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development .
The McDonald’s Committment: First Choice for Filipino Families
Now on its 22nd year, the kiddie crew workshop is part of McDonald’s Philippines commitment to become the first choice for Filipino families as a dedicated partner to parents and guardians for their kid’s holistic development, values formation, and most of all, in enjoying the activities during summer.
