Chamber Kicks Off Cebu Business Month 2014
The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (CCCI) had officially kicked off its annual Cebu Business Month (CBM) on Friday at the Ayala Center Center Terraces.
Starting off with ASEAN Street Food Festival, CBM’s Opening Salvo indeed had been a remarkable and unique showcase of exotic Filipino delicacy, with each delegate’s taste bud half filled while they check around and taste the captivating food exhibits.
“The ASEAN Street Food Festival is a symbol of the upcoming ASEAN economic integration in 2015, for which chamber members have to take advantage,” CCCI President Teresa Chan said.
In a single market of economy in the near future, Chan said she is pretty much sure that Cebu will hold and sustain its position which is one of the fastest growing economy in Asia.
She added that this could make Cebu even more globally competitive.
“We are sure that we will not slide down from our present position as the number one city, fastest growing city in the Philippines, “she said.
“We’re all in this together,” she added.
Chan announced this year’s Cebu Business Month-long jubilee, CCCI’s partnership with the Provincial Government and Cebu City Office, will be providing “skills training, relevant knowledge, business ideas” and many more business opportunities for everyone to take advantage on during the upcoming activities, which the chamber has already laid ahead.
CBM 2014, with the theme ASEAN 2015 and Beyond, was declared officially open simultaneously by all delegates during the event.
