CCCI Sets Grand Opening of Cebu Business Month 2014

Organizers of Cebu Business Month 2014 have set the Grand Opening Salvo of this year’s Cebu Business Month this Friday, May 30, 2014 at 4:00PM at The Terraces in Ayala Center Cebu.

Cebu Business Month features a month-long series of events geared towards inspiring more successes in the Cebu Business Community. CBM is organized and held annually by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).

In the opening festivity, highlights of the CBM 2014 activities will then be introduced together with the official declaration of CBM 2014’s grand opening. After which, a fantastic fireworks display will be held followed by a concert by the Zee Band and Rave Party.

CBM 2014 carries the theme “ASEAN 2015 and Beyond” and offers “Big and Bold” highlighted activities that will spark to the growth of Cebu’s businesses towards global competitiveness. These activities focus on CCCI’s major thrusts, which include ICT & Business Process Management (BPM), Tourism and Investment Promotion, Entrepreneurship and Creative Industries and Advocacy.

CBM 2014 activities will start on June 2-3 for Cebu ICT and BPM Conference and Expo at 8:00AM to 5:00PM at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel; Start-up Weekend on June 6-8 at 6:30PM to 10:00PM at University of Cebu-Banilad Campus; An Entrepreneurship Seminar about Building a National Brand and Going Nationwide on June 10 at 9:00AM to 5:00PM at Cebu City Marriott Hotel; June 12 to 14 for Franchising Negosyo Para sa Cebu, which will be organized by the Philippine Franchise Association, at 10:00AM to 9:00PM at Ayala Center Cebu.

The 2nd Cebu-In-The-Bag: Island Madness Sale will be on June 13 to 15 at SM City Cebu; Second Entrepreneurship Seminar about Competing in the Global Space on June 17 at 9:00AM to 5:00PM at Harolds Hotel; June 19 for Tourism and Investment Forum at 8:00AM to 3:00PM at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel; June 20 for Tourism and Investment Night Roundtable Discussion on the Economic Development of Cebu at 5:30 PM at Radisson Blu Hotel; June 21 for Business- Academe Forum at Radisson Blu Hotel, 9:30AM to 5:00PM; June 22 for 2nd Cebu Run for the Rivers at SM City Cebu Northwing, 4:00AM to 9:00AM.

Three events are scheduled on June 24: Third Entrepreneurship Seminar on Basics in Successful Exporting at Cebu Grand Hotel, 9:00AM to 5:00PM, the Cebu International Documentary Film Festival at SM City Cebu Cinema 1 at 1:00PM to 4:00PM, and the Visayan Pop-Song Writing Competition- Finals Night at SM City Cebu Cinema 1 at 8:00PM to 10:00PM; June 26 for Business-In-Golf Tournament at Cebu Country Club, 6:00AM; June 27 for Creative Industries Cebu: Salon Talks at 32 Sanson by Rockwell, 1:00PM to 5:00PM; And June 28 for the Grand Chamber Awards and Fellowship Night at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, 5:30PM to 10:00PM, on the same day there will be Mega Jobs Fair with the Cebu City Government at Cebu City Sports Center, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
