Tacloban Cross-Enrollees Get Aid from Sun Life

Sun Life Foundation (SLF) donated P1.4 million to the students from University of the Philippines-Tacloban City who are now cross-enrolling in UP-Cebu.

SLF turned over the check to UP-Cebu dean Lisa Corro recently.

According to Sun Life Foundation, in a statement released to Metro Cebu News, the financial assistance is for those students from UP-Tacloban to continue their education without having to worry about finances.

The aid, however, will only cover students belonging to the E2 bracket or those families have an annual income of not more than P80,000.

From the 190 cross-enrolleess, 90 students belong under the said bracket.

The assistance does not only cover schools fees but also meal allowance of the beneficiary-students.

Students from UP-Tacloban have transferred to different UP schools all over the country after their campus was badly damaged by super typhoon Yolanda in November last year.
