Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan in Colour Me Ladies Conference

Another speaker in the Colour Me Ladies Conference tomorrow in Cebu, is not unfamiliar to many because she is a known advocate of parenting, family and wellness. Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan’s credentials fill out as a Filipina wife, mother of five, homemaker, actress, columnist, author, triathlete and & beloved princess of Jesus. Maricel holds a Bachelor of Science Major in Behavioral Science at the UP Manila and has earned her Master’s Degree in Family Life and Child Development at UP Diliman.

Mother of smart, witty, and adorable kids ages 17,15,14,12 and 2, she is an award-winning movie and television actress, and has authored five books with her children’s book Super Benj, cited as best children’s book by the Catholic Mass Media Awards in 2006. She is wife to inspirational speaker Anthony N. Pangilinan and they have been married for 20 years. Maricel writes a weekly column for the Philippine Star called MommyTalk and she conducts seminars on Parenting thru The Parenting Company and HIP PINAS Advocacy.
Other than that, Maricel also is Consultant for Community Relations in Brent International School Manila. She is a health and wellness advocate and keeps fit by engaging in triathlon with her family, also known as Team Pangilinan and together they have joined more than a hundred multisport races combined. Maricel and husband, Anthony are official Timex Philippines Delegates to the New York Marathon this Nov. 2013.

Colour Me Ladies Conference is dubbed as “Lovin’ Life” and is expected to gather 1,000 women from the different Christian churches in Metro Cebu for an afternoon of inspiration and transformation. It seeks to empower and move women to have hope, following Christ with all their hearts and rising above their present situation. It will be a time of refreshing oneself from the different important roles these female creations juggle up–homemakers, wives, working ladies, and to an extent even raising kids singlehandedly.

The conference will be held at the Atlantic Hall of Waterfront Hotel & Casino from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.. Registration is at P500, inclusive of snacks, goodie bag with books and other freebies from event sponsors. Registration outlets are in OMF Lit Bookshops at Robinsons Cybergate and Banilad Branches, Citigym at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and in selected local churches (Citichurch, Quest Fellowship, Bradford UCCI, CCF, Calvary Chapel, Cebu City Alliance Church and Banilad Alliance Fellowship).
