IBP to Stage Nationwide Protest
The national officials of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines(IBP) revealed they are planning to stage a nationwide protest to seek an immediate justice for the heinous murder of lawyer Noel Archival who was ambushed along with three others in Corro, Dalaguete, Cebu last week.
IBP Cebu Chapter president Atty. Mae Bathan said that the IBP national president Vicente M. Joyas had told her that members of IBP will have to do this action to express their strong condemnation against the killing of Archival who was known as one of the leading criminal lawyers here in Cebu.
But according to Bathan, her office is waiting to receive the concrete details from their national officials on the said nationwide protest of lawyers.
She said that all IBP chapters nationwide expressed fears this might also happen to others in the same profession if criminals will remain at large.
IBP officials are urging the police to solve the said case as soon as possible.
