Samsam Denies Jumping to LP

First district Representative Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas on Thursday denied he is shifting loyalty to the Liberal Party.

“No. Way pamulitika. We are here to show to the governor that we willing to cooperate with all his projects in the district,” said
Gullas, who came to visit Governor Hilario Davide III’s office yesterday morning.

Gullas tagged along his allied-mayors and councilors in the district.

It can be recalled that four of the six towns in the first district are with One Cebu, a party which endorsed Davide’s political rival, Pablo
John Garcia.

Davide, for his part, admitted that he was glad that Gullas, for the first time since they both won last May, came to pay him a visit.

He also clarified that the neophyte congressman and the mayors did not come to ask for projects in their district, instead they came to tell him that they would coordinate with him in case he would pour in projects to their areas.
