Citing bad weather conditions, air company Cebu Pacific on Saturday morning canceled at least 16 flights with destinations in parts of Mindanao, as PAGASA warned of flash floods and landslides in some parts of southern Philippines due to a low-pressure area (LPA) in General Santos City.
In its 7:40 a.m. advisory, Cebu Pacific said the canceled flights include:
5J381/382 MNL-Cagayan de Oro-MNL
5J215/216 CGY-Davao-CGY
5J781/782 MNL-Ozamiz-MNL
5J391D/392D MNL-Cagayan de Oro-MNL
5J397/398 MNL-Cagayan de Oro-MNL
5J205/206 CEB-Cagayan de Oro-CEB
5J625/626 MNL-Dumaguete-MNL
5J873/874 CEB-Surigao-CEB
Cebu Pacific said those passengers who are booked in these flights may avail of any of these following free options: Rebooking/re-routing of flights within 30 days; conversion of full value of fares in a travel fund; or full refund.
It also said “CEB hopes for its guests’ understanding as this situation is beyond the airline’s control. We will continue to provide updates soon as available.”
Earlier, State weather forecasters said that a potential cyclone approaching from the east could make landfall over Mindanao on weekend after entering the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Friday.
