PAGASA Says LPA Trough, Monsoon to Bring Rain over Bicol, Vis-Min
Forecasters said a trough and the northeast monsoon may bring rain in parts of Bicol, Visayas and Mindanao on Friday.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the trough or extension of an LPA is now affecting Mindanao while the northeast monsoon is affecting northern Luzon.
They added Bicol region, Eastern Visayas and Caraga will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
For Weather on Friday, PAGASA said Metro Manila, Ilocos, Cordillera and Central Luzon may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.It added that the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
The bureau said moderate to strong winds from the east to northeast will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas, and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
It added strong to gale-force winds associated with the northeast monsoon may affect the eastern seaboard of Visayas, including Samar and Leyte.
The weather agency advised fishing boats and other small seacrafts not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
