Bus Accident in Badian Kills 2

A Ceres bus figured in an accident in Badian town, Cebu this morning, killing the driver’s wife and their child.

Based on the record of the Badian Police Station, the bus turned sideways in Sitio Bangko-Bangko, Barangay Baljaan at around 7 a.m. According to eyewitnesses, the bus was running at top speed when it lost control and turned sideways. Killed in the accident were bus driver Erwin Españno’s wife Marelyn, 31, and their 5-year-old daughter Veralin. They were both seated in the front seat when the accident happened.

Meanwhile, a few others who were injured were rushed to the nearest hospital.

Españo is now detained at the Badian Police Station. Police are still doing investigation to know the cause of the accident.
