Il Corso Nails First Concrete Pouring

The awaited retail and commercial arena, Il Corso held a first concrete pouring last October 31, 2013 at the site.

Filinvest, the project’s developer, has undertaken an aggressive two-year timeline and commenced its construction through the recently held event.

Il Corso is a sprawling shopping haven by the sea located at Citta di Mare, South Road Properties (SRP) that boasts of a resort-feel landscape and a relaxing ambiance. It is an eight-hectare retail development that is designed to complement the natural environment Cebu has, yet provide lifestyle and leisure offerings that will make it the newest destination in the region.

Inspired with the coastal landscape and relaxed lifestyle of Cebu, Il Corso will be decked with greens and amenities that nourish the desire to commune with nature in the midst of the metropolis. It will abound with themed meandering boardwalks that harmonize with the development’s major and junior anchors.  It is where walking becomes more fun, making shopping more convenient and delightful at the same time.

Il Corso will feature a central plaza with a seafront ampi-theater that is envisioned to become a venue where the community can share and enjoy local and international events and entertainment activities.  A four-level retail building will house the cinemas and retail outlets interlinked in a unique architectural design.

As an interim tenant, Lantaw Restaurant will open on November 8 at the Il Corso site, and provide a glimpse of the experience at the development.  Several activities and events will likewise be held in the retail, shopping and entertainment destination to introduce it as a new hub for the Cebuanos.

Il Corso is Filinvest’s first major retail development outside Luzon and is an ambitious project that will offer Cebu, being the next cosmopolitan city in the country, a beautiful venue for the community to enjoy.

An unveiling ceremony and official ceremonial kick off in the evening which highlighted the exciting offerings and promise of a different experience in Il Corso. One of the country’s top bands Freestyle provided music for entertainment to the guests and invites.
