inDrive Expands in Cebu with Flagship Drivers Hub
Cebu City, one of the Philippines’ most dynamic economic centers, continues to face pressing mobility challenges amid its bustling mix of commerce and tourism. Addressing this need, global mobility platform inDrive has officially opened its flagship Drivers Centre on E. Echavez Street, marking a significant milestone in its expansion across the Visayas.
The new Drivers Centre serves as a dedicated space for driver support, training, and community engagement. It reinforces inDrive’s commitment to building a safe, people-first mobility platform tailored to Cebu’s evolving urban landscape.
“Being present in Cebu means better support for our partner drivers and a more dependable experience for passengers,” said Vanessa Taqueban, inDrive Philippines Driver Operations Lead. “This Drivers Centre helps us address day-to-day mobility challenges while keeping fairness and safety at the core of our operations.”
Since it entered Cebu in December 2024, inDrive has experienced remarkable growth. Monthly completed rides surged by 312.71% by December 2025, while the network of active partner drivers expanded by 120.52%. Building on this momentum, inDrive now aims to increase its driver base by 30%, ensuring more reliable coverage for passengers across the city.
To join the platform, drivers are required to hold a professional license, underscoring inDrive’s focus on safety and accountability. In line with Cebu’s push for sustainable transport, electric vehicles (EVs) are also accepted, giving eco-conscious drivers and passengers more options.
Fair Earnings, Transparent Fares
inDrive’s industry-leading 5% commission rate allows drivers to keep up to 95% of their earnings, providing greater income security amid rising operating costs. Passengers benefit from fixed, transparent fares, removing the uncertainty often found in tourist-heavy hubs and ensuring affordability for locals and visitors alike.
“This Drivers Centre reflects our strongest commitment yet to Cebu and the Visayas,” said Sofia Guinto, inDrive Philippines Country Representative. “We are not here to simply operate. We are here to invest, to partner, and to grow responsibly with the communities we serve.”
The Cebu Drivers Centre is the second inDrive facility in the Visayas, following the Bacolod hub opened in January 2025. Together, these centers highlight inDrive’s strategy to strengthen its footprint across the Philippines by supporting drivers, promoting fair earnings, and delivering transparent mobility solutions.
