Uniqlo Marks 10 Years in Cebu with Community Drive in Talisay
Global apparel retailer Uniqlo marked its 10th anniversary in Cebu with a meaningful community initiative in Talisay City, in partnership with the ABS-CBN Foundation. Held as a prelude to Uniqlo Cebu’s milestone celebration in January 2026, the event embodied the brand’s mission to bring the Heart of LifeWear to communities in need.
The donation drive supported 500 Cebuanos affected and displaced by recent calamities, with the distribution of 3,000 AIRism shirts and 4,000 pre-loved RE.UNIQLO clothing items. More than clothing, these pieces offered comfort, dignity, and a sense of normalcy to families working to rebuild their lives.
Uniqlo Local Celebrity Partners Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli joined the initiative on the ground, spending time with beneficiaries and assisting in the distribution of AIRism items. They were accompanied by Uniqlo Philippines Chief Operating Officer Geraldine Sia and Marketing Director Jan Jizelle Ang, underscoring the brand’s commitment to hands-on community engagement.
“Our commitment goes beyond local efforts. Nationally, Uniqlo has supported communities such as the Del Monte farmers, showing that the power of clothing can uplift lives across different sectors,” said Jan Jizelle Ang, Marketing Director of Uniqlo Philippines. Adding, “Through our RE.UNIQLO program, we encourage our customers to donate their pre-loved LifeWear items in-store. We’ve placed collection boxes in our branches so customers can easily drop off clothing they no longer wear. It’s a simple but powerful way for our customers to join us in helping those in need, while promoting reuse and sustainability.”
