EY Expands Operations in the Philippines with New Center in Cebu
Ernst & Young (EY), a global assurance, tax, transaction, and consulting services provider, has launched a new Global Delivery Services (GDS) center in Cebu, Philippines. This marks EY’s second GDS center in the country, with the first based in Manila, housing over 5,000 professionals. The addition of the Cebu center bolsters EY’s global network, uniting experts from various regions and industries.
EY GDS plays a crucial role within the EY organization, employing over 74,000 professionals who collaborate globally to provide innovative business solutions to EY member firms and clients worldwide.
This expansion in the Philippines coincides with the eighth anniversary of EY GDS in the country, highlighting EY’s commitment to growth. In 2015, operations in the Philippines started with just 25 employees, growing to over 5,000 today.
Mukul Pachisia, EY GDS Global Operations Leader, stressed the importance of the Philippines in their growth strategy. He stated, “The Philippines is a vital component of our growth strategy, and we are delighted to broaden our footprint by building teams in Cebu. The highly skilled professionals from the region will raise the bar in terms of service quality, working closely with EY teams across service lines to drive innovation and develop automated solutions.”
The Cebu center will work closely with EY professionals to assist clients in the Asia-Pacific region in accelerating business transformation through industry-focused solutions, expanding its capabilities in areas such as Tax, Assurance, and Consulting.
This expansion strengthens EY’s support for the Philippines’ technology transformation, enhancing the country’s position as a preferred IT-BPM (Information Technology and Business Process Management) destination.
Nitin Dhavale, EY GDS Philippines Location Leader, highlighted the center’s role in promoting local talent and fostering learning opportunities for professionals.
EY GDS Philippines is currently the second-largest location in EY’s global network of GDS centers, further enhancing service delivery to EY member firms worldwide. It will work closely with EY GDS teams from around the world, fostering global collaboration and innovation. (ASC)
