The highly anticipated trade show for home, furnishings, and lifestyle, Manila FAME, is making its comeback for its 71st edition at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City from October 19 to 21, 2023, allowing the showcase of Philippine Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the renowned international event.

This comes after two years of virtual Market Days, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) is set to bring back a captivating in-person experience for exhibitors, buyers, and visitors from all corners of the globe, where emerging designers and local artisan communities also get to show off their craft.

The Design Commune, an exclusive collection of new products developed under CITEM’s program, will be one of the trade show’s main events, aiming to foster innovation among local artisans and manufacturers, allowing them to expand their product offerings and cater to the demands of the global market.

Under the theme “Feel what’s possible,” Manila FAME 2023 aims to provide a show that reflects new ideas, fresh perspectives, and unique executions deeply rooted in Filipino heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation.

Edward Fereira, Executive Director of CITEM, emphasizes the importance of creating an immersive experience that resonates with the diverse audience of international buyers, established design brands, enthusiasts, students, and industry experts.

“Manila FAME attracts a diverse set of audiences—new and returning international buyers, established and upcoming design brands, design aficionados and students, industry experts, and even local fans of the show. We want to give them a show that reflects new ideas, fresh takes, and unique executions—in short, possibilities—rooted in Filipino heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation. And since we’re going back on site, they will surely ‘feel’ all these on the ground, face-to-face after three years,” Fereira said.

Over 250 exhibitors will be set to feature their arts and crafts in this year’s Manila FAME, offering an extensive selection of products including furniture, home decor, lighting, fashion, festive and seasonal decorations, gifts, and beauty & wellness. (GFB)
