V-Hires Operating in the South to Relocate to CSBT

Van-for-Hires (V-Hires) will now start to operate at the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT). This comes after Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia approved their relocation during their meeting last May 3, 2023.

It can be remembered that the V-Hire operations at the temporary terminal in Brgy. Kamagayan in Cebu City, a lot provided by the Cebu City government had already seized its operations last April 28, 2023.

V-Hire operators asked Governor Gwen if they could transfer to a new suitable location for their operation, and the governor promised to allot a space for them to operate at CSBT.

V-Hires will be integrated into the beep card system, the same as buses that are also operating in the said terminal.

The V-Hires were said to be initially transferred to SM Seaside in Mambaling, Cebu City.

GT Express Toledo Operators and Drivers Association President Dondon Omayan said that the new location in SM Seaside is not easily accessible by the commuting public as there are no other public transport routes going to and from SM Seaside.

The newly relocated V-Hires at CSBT operate from Cebu City to the different towns and cities in the Southern part of Cebu, including Argao, Moalboal, Sibonga, Naga, and Toledo City. (ASC)
