AppleOne Medical Group Partners with Singapore Diagnostics to Enhance Healthcare Services in VisayasMed Hospital

On April 19th, AppleOne Medical Group (AMG) announced its partnership with Singapore Diagnostics (SGD) to enhance the laboratory services and medical arts of VisayasMed Hospital in Cebu City. This partnership aims to provide a more convenient and personalized approach to healthcare, aligning with VisayasMed Hospital’s goal of providing a holistic patient experience.

VisayasMed Hospital, formerly known as Visayas Community Medical Center, has close to 70 years of experience in providing quality medical services. It offers five main departments, namely family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and other departments that provide services from medical professionals in dermatology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, and anesthesiology.

SGD is the Philippine flagship company of Singapore-based healthcare group, Pathology Asia. Accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), SGD is the first laboratory in the Philippines that is at par with the world’s best laboratories. It has also been awarded Healthcare Asia’s Diagnostics Provider of the Year and STATISTA’s Philippines’ Growth Champion of the Year. SGD has grown to be one of the largest laboratories in the Philippines, processing laboratory tests for over 600 hospitals, clinic labs, and healthcare institutions in the country. It serves up to 50,000 patients every month and conducts over 3.6 million laboratory examinations per year.

Under this partnership, SGD will fully operate VisayasMed Hospital’s laboratory, both inpatient and outpatient, through its well-trained medical technologists and laboratory specialists. SGD also aims to become a training venue for the best scientists in Cebu for continuous improvement. Furthermore, this partnership will expand SGD’s services to other AMG hospitals across the VisMin region.
